I love reading people’s monthly favourites, mainly for inspiration on future purchases but also to see if i’m missing out on anything special.
I’ve been blogging since june now and I haven’t written a monthly favourites post yet.Which is kind of strange as my favourites change constantly,so i should find these type of posts easy.
This month has been lovely and warm so my favourites consist of skin care more than make up.
Origins high potency night-a-mins mineral enriched renewal night creme: I ordered this as part of a promotional offer and it was a decent size for a freebie,30mls to be exact. It has orange listed as an active ingredient to help aid with gentle exfoliation whilst you sleep, the smell is not overpowering for me at all.Since i started using it my skin appears smoother, less dull and the redness i often woke up with has disappeared. It’s one of those creams that can become addictive,i mean who doesn’t love waking up with gorgeous glowing skin,it’s also non greasy and a small amount goes along way.Origins retexturising mask with rose clay: I’m literally so ashamed at the amount of face masks i’ve brought this month! This origins clay mask was actually sent to me by the lovely lauren from origins customer service team.Short story,i’d placed an order with origins and I hadn’t received one of the sample size masks (turns out it was out of stock) after a few emails lauren kindly sent me a sample of a mask that was available as a generous good will gesture! It’s suitable for all skin types and the active ingredient in this mask is willowherb.I use it as a 10 minute radiance mask but the exfoliating jojoba beads mean you can also use it as an exfoliating face wash, either way it smells incredible, cleanses beautifully aswell as soothes my skin.I will be purchasing the full size version once this runs out.Balance me pure skin face wash: I first tried this by purchasing September’s instyle magazine,it was a huge sample size worth £10.I’ve already purchased the full size and some more products from the balance me range, they’re that good and natural! It removes the most stubborn waterproof makeup i own and reduces my redness and breakouts,i recommend everyone tries it!
Milani baked blusher: I managed to get this for less than £5 on amazon in the shade luminoso. It’s a gorgeous soft pink,I don’t suit a bright blush so this is perfect for me.It’s subtle enough for everyday wear,so subtle that it’s replaced my face pearls.Icona milano emotion allowed mascara: I have a few mascaras to choose from but i always reach for this one.It separates my lashes just the way i like them and the formula is perfect. It lengthens, creates a nice curl and can be buildable but i only ever need one layer.Highly recommended!
Kevyn Aucoin eyelash curlers: Anyone else get really freaked out by these things?I always get scared i’m either going to pluck all my eyelashes out or pinch my eyelid in the process.I picked these up from cult beauty ages ago and i find them so easy to use, haven’t had any accidents yet!Plus they’re perfect for blog photos and Instagram.Garniers BB cream: I’ve had this for ages but disregarded it as i thought it was way too dark for me,even though i brought the lightest shade. As the months got warmer i decided to give it another go,i used my RT sponge to apply it,holding back on the amount i used and found it to be gorgeous.Much better than i expected and lighter, perfect for summer.I love it that much that i’m considering using this during autumn too.
I hope you enjoyed reading this months favourites, let me know if any are staples for you.If you have a monthly favourites post don’t forget to include it in the comments below for me to read.
