Love the design of this months glossybox,it’s gorgeous and so festive with the mistletoe wreath. The products inside are fabulous for December,a month full of celebrations and parties.
Glossybox subscribers were able to choose in advance, which mdmflow lipstick they wanted to receive this month. There were two choices, spice or sugar and i chose spice,i love to wear darker shades during winter. It’s a gorgeous plum lipstick in the shade vamp, blotted down it becomes much more vibrant and berry toned.I was so thrilled with this, not only because they gave you the choice of two great shades but the quality is really good.£18The rest of my box was chosen to suit a plum lip, which i thought was cool.Next product is the lipcote all-natural-lip sealer,i’ve never used a product like this before.I was a little wary that using it over a dark lip might stain the brush,it did stain a little but not much. You barely have to touch your lips as the sealant is very watery (it literally runs along your lip as it drips down) i only needed to smear it along my lips and it dries quickly. It’s described as being able to make what ever lipstick you are wearing water-resistant and stop it from feathering,i tested it out and it works a treat.Very happy with this,i can’t wait to try it on all my other lipsticks.I didn’t like the scent of it though, reminded me of cheap hairspray.£4
Sticking with the deep reds/plum shades, glossybox have included another Revlon nail polish in the shade Valentine.Moving onto the two other products,i received the collections define and perfect eyebrow powder in the shade brunette 2.Again i’ve not used anything from the collection range apart from their concealer, nor have i seen a powder eyebrow product that comes in the form similar to that of an eyeliner. From swatches,it seems ok but ill have to test it out a few times to see if i truly like it.£4.19Lastly is the Essence light up your face luminizer palette, described as varying shades of highlight. From a light pearlised highlight to a golden glow, unfortunately i think it’s terrible quality. There is barely any colour payout, with finger swatches or applied to the cheekbones. It is extremely powdery and the fallout is unbelievable. The swatches pictured took a huge amount of effort to build up,such a shame as i’ve heard great things about the brand and their mascaras!
I was delighted with this months box regardless, perfect products for the christmas period and for £10,i think it’s extremely good value for money. There won’t be a January box on my blog unfortunately as i’ll be on holiday but i will be continuing my subscription in February. Thanks for reading x
